Something’s not right

Depersonalisation

Depersonalisation

Nothing feels real; My life does not feel authentic anymore. Everything is just a blur and my mind is fatiguing. My behavior is so aggressive. If my dad maybe even bothered to show a little love and patience, I think I would be much more stable than now. Something is wrong.

Re: Depersonalisation

Hey @MGA ,

Welcome to the forums.

Do you have any supports you can reach out to?

I read that you would like your dad to show you some love, but at the same time, something just doesn't feel right.

Coming to the forums may help you articulate what is happening for you. I hope others will be able to share their experiences with you too.

Please know you are not alone.

Re: Depersonalisation

@MGAWelcome to the forum. I think realising something is wrong is a great first step to improving things for yourself. That may seem obvious, but trust me, to a lot of people it isn't.

Any mental stress is fatiguing, especially over a long period of time. So there's is nothing wrong with you in that department.

Why do you think your behaviour is aggressive? Is it just down to the stress and the frustration?

Have you talked to your dad about how you feel? I know for me, a lot of the time I make assumptions without talking to people, so I'm just naturally wondering if you're doing the same. If you don't see that as an option is there anyone else you can talk to?

Sorry I can't offer any better advice, but a lot of the time, these stresses in life can just keep building and we start to get physically and/or mentally exhausted and that's when we usually need some support from somewhere. So well done for reaching out and sharing your situation here. Hopefully with a bit of help you can get the support to help you find out what is wrong and start taking steps to make things better. People here are happy to help however they can.

I'm so sorry you feel that way, i can imagine how overwhelming and disorienting it must feel. i know your father wasn't able to support you in the way you wanted, but please don't let that make you feel any less of deserving the best support. your feeling and thoughts are valid, and i'm really glad that you've been able to reach out to the forms here and share with us. we're here for you, let us know what you need - whether that's strategies, a space to vent, etc., we're here. 💗

Re: Depersonalisation

Hey there @MGA, welcome 👋

I'm hearing you're feeling very disassociated from your life and that things would be a lot better if you received more kindness and love from your dad. Your feelings are valid, everybody deserves that from their loved ones🙏

May I ask so I can understand better, and only if you feel comfortable to answer, are you currently living with your dad? Do you have any other family or friends you're close to?

You can always come here to talk and get more of your chest if you want to 💜
