Anger outbursts, just holding everything in

Anger outbursts, just holding everything in

Over the past few days, weeks, I've been working a lot, doing physical labour like moving boxes etc. I have to wake up early in the morning and then I come home at around dinner time, I have no energy left as I'm physically drained.

I help out with the bills and everything. Additionally I help out with a club which I am retiring from soon.

The past few days with all of these things combined, I think its just been too much for me. In all situations I've been on professional mode all the time, if something goes wrong I have to keep every emotion to myself, like being annoyed, anger, etc.

Some things didnt go well with the club, I've been a one man army the entire time and everything is literally dependant on me. At work I have to be all cheerful and smilely, I can't show signs of anything else. At home I have no other way of getting anything I want out, because I'm too tired to do anything and the club stuff keeps getting to me since I have to do so many things.

Its all led me to have anger outbursts as everything just combines and compounds. I'm not sure what to do or how to handle it. I just want to scream and go stuff everything and stay home and sleep.

Even with the money I'm making I feel like I don't have control. I feel like what I'm doing is useless as I can't even use it. Like I'm trapped. I want to be able to use my money to purchase something I want for once, not for anybody else.

I worked hard for it and everybody keeps taking it as oh just another day or something, like I'm not appreciated.

Im so busy and tired I havent even had time to vacuum my room or anything for the past like two or more weeks.

I just feel deflated.

The thing is also is that I've been taking my medication for anxiety/depression daily and its happening. So my emotions should usually be in check, but I guess it was just sort of pushing everything to a later date, I don't know.

Good afternoon @cozy_726 ,

I can see you do everything you can to help others but it feels like others don't appreciate it. Is that fair to say?

If these feelings continue, do you think you will speak to a professional? Your feelings are valid.

@cozy_726 Boundaries are a good thing.

When we help too much, we are robbing ourselves of enjoying life.

Know your limits. Let someone else step up.

Yeah I think that's the case.

In terms of speaking to a professional, I probably will if it continues and when I have the money.

Though I wouldn't know where to start when speaking to a professional, sometimes I don't know what I want out of the session. I know that its up to me to fix the issue and a psychologist or therapist isn't there to fix it for me, but that's also the hard part since I don't know what I need to fix it.

I've had boundary issues a lot in the past and it's caused a lot of issues as well. I'm not really good with it and I don't know when I should draw the line.

And when I draw the line and do my own things, people tend to see it as me not helping at all. For example if I take a break for a day and just game all day, my dad used to complain about how all I would do is just game.

I'm not sure if I discussed it with my psychologist before about it, but that's reminded me that maybe I should bring up that topic.

@cozy_726 what do you want your everyday life to be like?

Sometimes we do a whole heap of stuff to keep busy, feel resentful about it, because we are avoiding addressing something that is uncomfortable to deal with.

Could that be the case?

To be honest, I don't know what I want my everyday life to be like. I guess I just want to come home from work and cuddle with my girlfriend, but unfortunately I don't have one and I haven't found somebody. Just be next to someome you love, and share the small moments with.

And from there, maybe some hobbies on the weekends, like some art or drawing or something.

I guess yeah, there is something I am avoiding, and it's the loneliness. We can't have a cat or a dog because of the lease agreement, so until I get my own place that allows pets I can't get any. Friends are meh, everybody is busy these days and its too much hassle, like takes the energy out of me. And then there is the relationship thing which really gets me.

When the love songs at work come on repeatedly, just makes me sad.

I just want to find somebody, where we can cuddle as we watch tv and so on. I guess because of that, I'm always doing something, including sleeping, just making time go faster.

I don't know how to feel about this one. Just a tad bit sad I guess.

One step at a time @cozy_726 how often do you hear people saying “I’ve done all this work on myself. These are the things that I can bring to a friendship.

If you don’t have friends that inspire you and that you can rely on, then you need new friends.

Life is meant to be lived not just exist.

What about travel?

Yeah, I get what you mean. It's just that I haven't really found people I can fully rely on. It's just really hard to find a good friend, I know that they have their own lives, but I'd like them to also start the conversation sometimes too to kinda show they care a bit you know?

I don't travel much, never had enough money. Even though I've got a new job now in corporate, I still pay a ton of bills for the family. So I'm not sure when I'll be able to travel. At the moment my kind of travel is just going to the cafe for the day to relax, even if its alone.
