What has worked for you in the past?

Re: Anxiety, trauma

Ooo! I posted before I saw your messages. I'm hearing you @j2mhall . I lived with severe anxiety for many years. I didn't even leave home. I couldn't be around people. I have to say, medication did help eventually... and then I was able to work on strategies to support the anxiety. Gradual exposure and being ready to get out of my comfort was certainly as part of recovery.

Hi @jm2hall
Good to hear from you
I here how hard it is I can understand
Looking at patterns of when I felt the most anxious helped, not so I could anticipate more so that I could read my body a bit more and know they there’s a pattern here… what can I do on those days to change things up

Re: Anxiety, trauma

For example, work has been really hard for me especially in my previous job I would just want to leave and I would just go sit in my car on my breaks and consider just going home
I wanted to hide in there
I would rock up to work and just think nope not going
So I started riding my bike there was no easy means of escape for me and no hiding place
I wasnt getting rid of the anxiety but I had to face it I had to beat it and walk in the gate
