Hi @Happyness, it's nice to meet you

Good to have you on the forums.

Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself.

To get you know you a bit better a question I like to ask is: What has brought you to the forums? Some common reasons community members connect is for guidance or advice from peers, a safe space to share their experiences and feel heard, or simply a place to connect with others.

Re: THE DARKNESS

hey @Happyness i'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing a lot of pain and suffering at the moment. i can imagine how heavy and exhausting it must be, i'm sitting here with you.

anxiety, fear and panic go hand in hand don't they? the way i coped with my anxiety and fears was through a combination of talking about it with professionals and re-wiring my whole thinking to focus more on facts/logic rather than my intrusive thoughts and feelings. whenever a negative thought popped up, before it had time to linger in my mind i immediately tried to replace it with positive/neutral thoughts like "i'm safe", "i'm strong, i'm capable, these are just thoughts floating in but i am fine". i told these types of phrases to myself every time a thought like "what if" floated by.

another thing that helped was figuring out why i felt this way through journalling - why did i feel fear? why was i anxious? and then focusing on what was in my control. "to worry is to suffer twice" was a quote that helped my anxiety - it is true, when we worry and think ahead or think back to the past, we're just adding panic to our mind and body over things we don't have control over. focus on the present, what we can do now and taking things one step at a time helped me feel more in control.

mindfulness techniques would be really great for managing the physical symptoms of panic and anxiety. i like to inhale twice through the nose and exhale through the mouth to calm myself down. some do yoga, meditation - i personally prefer going to the gym. here's some tips on anxiety attacks as well, there's some good breathing techniques in there: What is a panic attack? | Everything you need to know (reachout.com)

here are some support services for anxiety:

i know how overwhelming and lonely it can feel to deal with anxiety, i have social anxiety myself and fear has been something i've been working on overcoming and managing too. you're not alone here. i'm always here if you'd like to talk more or just want me to sit with you. 💗
