Something’s not right

Overloaded mind

Overloaded mind

Hi, I get so much more overwhelmed these days, 1 day ago, taking my daughter to her disability employment appointment. I have cello park app on my phone. I know longer go in with her and sit in my car out front. We had run a few other errands before this, so i had been using the cello park app, between different parks, and re start when i get to a new park.

I went to buy coffee from maccas for me and my daughter. I got panicky at maccas because i forgot to change the location for my park and thought i would get a parking fine. I couldn’t change it from a different location. I go pick up my daughter and we sit in the car and sip coffee, I must have restarted the park app so we can sit and not get booked.

Later that night just before I recover and have some needed sleep, I see that i had run the cello park app, all day until it stops at 5.30 $17. In my attempts i was trying to use the first hour free. My anxiety is from not telling my husband, because this very thing happened also in May and he was not very happy. I dont want to tell him, because it will bring up bad feelings and i will feel bad. I have terrible self esteem as it is.

I have so many questions about those so called smart parking meters. I want to cancel the app. I am sitting observing my husband when he is on his phone, it will become aware to him, because the app is set up on his account. I just dont feel like confronting the issue and putting it off.

Last night I barely got any sleep because it was running a loop in my mind. I’m feeling depressed about it and feel a shame about not bringing it up. I will most likely play unaware, when he brings it up. I run on auto pilot these days and feel despondent when it comes to appointments for my daughter, I’m attentive to where she needs to get to. But I am tired.

If I rang the city council where I am, what are the chances they will have some compassion and not want to profit on my forgetfulness.

Thanks for reading

I'm sorry @Dark_Olena that you feel depressed about this. It's the kind of accident that I would make. I find that apps confusing. And when you have a lot on your plate it is especially easy to make a mistake. I hope that your husband treats you with the compassion that you deserve. And I'm not sure what the likely hood is the council forgiving the amount, but it can't hurt to ask the question.

Hi @Dark_Olena

Those parking apps get me the whole time, and its a very honest mistake what you made. I was looking on their website and they were saying that their premium customers get a reminder if you leave a space and forgot to end the cellopark session. Not sure if you have that. You could ring your council and explain the situation, as no doubt someone else parked in the space after you left. So they should have a record of that.

Your husband will understand, we all make mistakes, am sure he has forgotton on occassions. You dont need the added stress of this on your mind. Thinking of you.....Asgard

I feel for you... and hear that the thought of facing your husband's anger about the parking mishap is causing you a lot of anxiety and depression. I know it is easy for someone else to suggest that you talk it through with your husband and tell him of your overwhelm and ask for his support and understanding....I also prefer to avoid confrontational or emotional situations due to lack of self esteem. It has taken me a long time to realise that facing these fears within myself and bringing up a challenging subject in an open and honest way (trying to speak from the heart)... can be very healing when I am standing in my own truth and inviting the other person to help me...but without running away from my own responsibility.

I truly hope your husband will show you some understanding... and that together you will be able to solve these glitches so that you can feel seen and heard.

Reach out anytime you need to. We are here to listen and support you.
