I went to my local Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) today for a free health check, a 715 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Assessment. It was great to talk to my GP about my health concerns, I should have gone earlier, but I have been putting my health last as life can be so busy. He knew my story, my history and it was a really holistic assessment, they took their time and really helped. Did you know you can get one every 9 months you can up to 10 allied health follow-up services per calendar year.

The 10 services can include:

  • 10 of the same service type, or a mix of different service types, for example, 2 dietetic, 3 podiatry and 5 physiotherapy services.
