My body and my brain want different things
I've been waiting for drs to actually see me and fix a severe hernia so long that I'm at a point I am not able to function. I have severe pain, unable to eat much if anything, I can't do anything I want to. I'm losing weight due to my inability to eat, which worries me.
It feels like my body has given up on life while my brain hasn't, at least for now. I don't know how much longer I can cope like this. I have only mentioned this to my GP and psych as they understand but am scared to say it to the specialists I need to hurry up and fix the hernia, as I've had previous drs push everything onto mental health and I don't want it to happen again.
The public health system is extremely slow but I can't afford to go private, I'm just stuck trying to fight both my drs and my body to get a better QoL.
How do I get the ability and energy to keep fighting?
