For some of us Christmas is a joyous time of giving and sharing with family and friends. For others it is a desperately lonely and heartbreaking time of loneliness and sadness. I wish I could magic everyone into a joyous Christmas mode, but I know some of you are going through hard times and I just wanted to say as I wake up this Christmas morning I am thinking of you. I too have spent Christmas in a lonely place (in hospital)and I know what it is like to be feeling terrible while eveyone around you is celebrating.

I hope it is not too long before you are feelng better. If you are unwell try to ignore all the Chrismas nonsense - it is only one day, this time tomorrow it will all be over. Try to do something nice for yourself and try to give yourself a positive message that things WILL get better.

my eyes scanned the list thinking, i am new on here, i will not be remembered.

tells you a lot about my low self-esteem which i am trying hard to work on.

even though you included and those if any whom i have forgotten.

so if there is anyone out there thinking like i was, dont, learn from me. we dont have to live with low self-esteem because of life's circumstances, people who have done wrong by us, people who have disrespected us.

we will work had at raising our self esteem back up high, as we are better than those who treated us that way, the controllers, the manipulators. we will stand tall and proud, we will be bounceback once again, value ourselves and be true to ourselves. step by step we will get there.

not a marathon. small steps, record our small, but so important achievements.
