Something’s not right

The big T's in the room.

The big T's in the room.

TRAUMA.

The big elephant in the room.

I can't escape its impact on me. I'm trying to overcome it. Become a better person. But I can't.

I feel stuck. Trapped.

It's like I'm being choked by it. It's hands around my neck, destroying the last bit of breath I have left.

I look at my little child. See her broken and bruised.

She cries. Alone. No one to hear her.

Left abandoned with her pain.

Now I'm older I still feel that pain.

The trauma of what happened to that little child haunts me.

The things I did because of her make me feel so ashamed.

I broke her skin.

I tried to end her.

I'm now here fighting for her. Trying to help her pain. But it never goes.

The scars always remain.

They fade but they will be there forever.

Those things that happened to her happen to me. Happened to us.

The parts still here wish we weren't. We want it all to stop.

Make it stop, Red, make it stop.

Can you let her talk in therapy and be heard and validated?

By the way, it's really good to see you 🙂
