Lonely Addict

Just turned 40. No children. Barley socialise. Drink and take whatever drugs I can get my hands on. High functioning. Seemingly normal. Extremely depressed and lonely indervidual.

I'm sorry to hear you are so lonely and have turned to various self-harm methods to get by.

What is it that you'd like to make of your life?

It sounds incredibly hard right now.

I'm also interested to understand why you turn to drink and drugs? Is it to numb the pain? @FLORE19

Hi @FLORE19 . Welcome to the forums! 🙂

Aside from the drinking and drugs, your situation is quite similar to my own. I used to drink socially, but then it fell out of fashion.

I wish I had some solutions to offer, but I'm lost for any, myself.
