Chronic Panic Disorder help

Chronic Panic Disorder help

Dont know right terms to use but will try to summarize my story.

Constant back pain, insomnia, rls, hemiplegic migraines, tension stress sinus headaches led to breakdown 16 years ago. Havent been able to work since and can barely function some days. Battled anxiety panic and migraine episodes with help from gp, psychs neuro physios and multiple medication trials and treatments. Learnt to survive by switching off. Spent much of this time in bed.

I was slowly getting better, started to think i could do more than just survive, and even started to do some work around the house but had a relapse in June and have developed a pattern of daily panic or anxiety attacks. I have some strategies and medications to get through but have experienced some scary episodes (particularly at night) and feel it is imperative that I find some sort of online chat support to access if/when this happens again.

i am not capable of communicating verbally during these episodes and am hoping someone can recommend a service/website/professional or somthing that could help me survive the next episode. I’m safe atm but I really need to be prepares for next time.

does anyone know of any chat/msg service that is avail 24/7?

Hi @SallySurvivor

Sorry to hear you're struggling with a bunch of health issues. I've been there, I too suffer chronic migraines as well as a bunch of other health issues, chronic fatigue and then the mental health problems. Anxiety is awful, that must be really scary for you not being able to communicate during an attack.

As for contacting someone at the time of an attack, Lifeline does have an online chat option and I know there was a text based hotline that I used during covid but I can't remember what it was. I'll add it to this thread if I can find it again.

@MissMuffet @NatureLover @Snowflake

I tried the beyond blue chat tonight. Have lots of links to resources and online psych options and other crisis contacts to work through. This was helpful thank you.
