Something’s not right

my body

my body

I've recently have had seizures and ever since those I've never felt the same, I get weak, dizzy, nausea etc. I am a type 1 diabetic and yes I don't control it very well but what I've been threw recently, I have been much better! The things is, I twitch alot, I can't stand for too long because I feel like I'm going to collapse, my legs go numb sometimes my whole body, I've been to the hospital numerous times and they just send me home telling me it's my diabetic

Hi @littlessoph77

Sorry to hear of your health concerns. Do you also have mental health concerns? I would highly suggest seeking help from your GP as I'm afraid we can't give medical advice here. A medical professional is the best person for that.

Re: my body

Hey @littlessoph77,

It sounds like you're navigating a lot. I know that it can be really frustrating when you're not feeling heard by medical professionals. Are there people in your care network that you do feel heard by?

In the past when I've had a tough time navigating the health system I have connected with my GP and have also asked for other support (a friend, family member or mental health worker) to assist me with some self-advocacy. Do you think that might be something that could work for you?

Re: my body

Hey @littlessoph77 ,

That sounds so tough @littlessoph77 . I can hear your frustrations.

Would it be possible to seek a second opinion through another hospital (in another area)?

For me, I have access to many hospitals - they fall into two different health networks which means I can switch between both if I want a second opinion. One doesn't have record of the others in a different health network.

Please take care.
