Overwhelmed and frustrated

Overwhelmed and frustrated

I can't even think straight I have everything going thru my head because I can't do simple things without ppl going g out of their way to make my life more difficult. I have type one diabetes (37 years now) bipolar disorder type one, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm over the diabetes and have been for a long time but not one dr or other medical professional understands anything I'm going thru. A few months ago I had some young Derro riding his electric scooter into me because I was "walking like I have a problem" but he left me one after I made it clear I was ready to fight back. I went to the shops after work to get cat biscuits. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone's trolleycome up right behind me. To my left there was plenty of space, there was noone there. To my right were the shelves. I turned right to get the cat biscuits and the person with the trolley screamed "excuse me" as likely as possible and I ignored it. She then yelled "I know you heard me" which I also ignored. I live with my parents and even tho I've told him over a dozen times my dad keeps screwing around with my food. I will put food on the stove and he'll turn the heat off. Or he'll dump another container of food that I am preparing into what is on the stove. He just goes ahead and eats my leftovers but I don't find this out until I go to heat them up for my dinner.

I'm sick of this shit. Noone believes me when I tell them what ppl do to me regularly. Everyone tell me I'm the problem even tho I literally mind my own business. I'm quiet, I don't look at anyone and it doesn't matter what I do with my appearance. All I want is for everyone to leave me alone because noone can treat the bipolar disorder. I keep hearing about ppl who have control over theirs but no one can tell me how to control mine. Where's the secret? Ciz there's either no treatment or ppl are keeping it secret for some reason. I am rational but I'm frustrated and I'm sick of ppl telling me it's because of my attitude. This is not the case. As I have changed my appearance many times over the years but ppl always single me out.

Noine seems to be able to help and I do t enjoy anything enough to do it constantly to distract myself and evem if I did I don't have the energy to do it. Psychology is just semantics and religion is a control mechanism for the ignorant and illiterate. I don't want to hear about it. Don't reply unless u have actual real help fir bipolar. Ciz noone else seems to

Hi @Former-Member , I am a moderator here.

Thank you for sharing. I can hear a lot of disappointment towards people in your words. You mentioned no on understand what you are going through. To be honest, no one every will, because no one went through the exact same things as you. Instead, what we try to do is, we try to understand as much as we can from what you share. Even though we don't live your life, but we try our best to listen to your story and how you feel, as well as provide any support you need.

You mentioned you don't enjoy anything enough to keep you distracted all the time, that's ok. From my experience, some day I feel like doing this, and I can spend the whole day in that, but other days I don't, so I do something else. The idea is to keep yourself busy, it doesn't have to be the one thing if I am making sense.

There are a lot of members in this forum who are struggling with their mental health along with other issues, perhaps you can have a look around, read about their stories, maybe you will find something that resonate with you.

I can't keep busy. It's too hard. It's been too hard for a long time. I can't do anything about it. I don't have the energy and I don't have the willpower. Doing things just to stay busy isn't a viable option. I can't convince myself that that will help. It never has in the past. My brain doesn't stop. Just because I'm doing sth doesn't change anything that's happening in my head. I don't work that way

Hi @Former-Member

I'm a moderator here on the forums. I noticed you have said not to reply unless you have real help for bipolar. From my experience here people who offer support on the forums, always do it out of a place of care and compassion. They may not understand exactly what you are going through (no one does) but will offer ideas that they have found helpful. So it may be limiting to ask for replies only if they have 'real help'. Let me know what you think. I'm sorry things have been so difficult for you over the years. I'm not quite sure what you mean by psychology is just semantics? Psychology has helped a lot of people understand their mental health challenges. It may not be for everyone of course, as you have expressed.

Warm regards
Hanami

Re: Overwhelmed and frustrated

I've been to ten psychologists and none of them have done anything. Third party therapy is ridiculous and I can't take it seriously. Cognitive behaviour therapy is pavlovian conditioning and I resent being treated like an animal. When I say that to a psychologist they openly insult me whole smirking at me with that same facial expression that is supposed to be kind and reassuring. They try to manipulate me and I won't allow it.

psychology is semantics. It's calling something something else. How many words can u think of that mean "big"? I've been manipulated for my entire life and I won't put up with it. I'm sick of all of it. I want help that doesn't involve me pretending something is not what it is. Psychologists are snake oil salesmen. When I tried to speak to a psychiatrist on two separate occasions a different psychologist called me and started with the "help me help you" and "we just don't want to waste our time here". Saying "we" does not.make me feel like they're on my team. It's another form of manipulation.

Re: Overwhelmed and frustrated

I appreciate that this has been your experience @Former-Member , but please be mindful that many people can have great success with therapies such as CBT. When writing opinions such as this please preface with 'in my opinion', or 'in my experience'. If not, a moderator may remove the post as it could deter others from seeking help.

Have you tried any alternative therapies? Ore are you against all types of therapy? Is there any type of treatment or support that you think might be something that could work for you?

Re: Overwhelmed and frustrated

Everything I'm talking about is in my experience and is only my opinion.

I don't know what exists as far as therapy goes. Im only against manipulative methods. That's all I've ever had suggested to me so that's all I can comment on. However I'm not able to do one thing every day like journalling or whatever. I get sick of it. As a result of being forced to do things when I want a break from them throughout childhood I just drop it and walk away regardless of what it is. When I into something, whether it's drawing or whatever I do it for awhile and I get bored with it and then I just get agitated by it.

I'm the way I am because it's how I survive. I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm resistant to alot of things because ive been forced to do things that ppl say will help me in some way but all it does is make me feel worse. I don't want to be around anyone because it exhausts me. In my experience ppl only really interact with me when they want something from me. I can't trust anyone.
