Surviving not thriving

Surviving not thriving

TW: Sexual Abuse

Hi, I’m Unsaidprodigy 🙂 I’m a little bit cray cray but I’m very real and I just want to share some things about my struggles and what I have learned about myself throughout my journey.

I was born on the 2 of November

I’m now 33 years old

I have been diagnosed with CPTSD

ADHD & DID (multiple personality disorder ) genital herpes

Im currently going through a lot of health issues as well over the last year and a half my whole body has been giving up.

Im currently being tested for Crohn’s disease and or whatever it may be?

I will find out on the 29th of this month.

Content/trigger warning
anyway the reasoning behind my mental illness was because I was sexual abuse by my Father over a period of 9 years.

I still struggle every day not that it’s currently happening now but the fact that I am having trouble with understanding who I am.

I have been looking into CPTSD and theirs not enough information about the illness.

I just want everyone to know that no matter how hard life can be just never give up on getting better ❤️‍🩹

I’ll love to know if anyone else has heard or going through CPTSD

Re: Surviving not thriving

Hey there @Unsaidprodigy ,

Welcome to the forums 🙂 I have CPTSD. It led to me having borderline personality disorder because i ended up internalising all my emotions.

It really ate up a lot of my late teens and early adult life. I ended up being ready for treatment when I was about 33 years old. Treatment went for a few years. But it worked.

Things have really turned around for me. From absolutely hating life, I can't believe I can actually say I love life now and am larger than life.

Recovery wasn't easy. But it was worth it.
