I’m having a mild one of those now. My partner is not having a great night. Frankly it sometimes make me crawl into a corner. I usually take a prn and calm things down. If it’s bad I go to sleep. It always passes and I feel ok about my partner with a little time. They do support me usually well. Living by yourself when badly depressed I wouldn’t do. I consider doing that when I’m generally not doing well. Just me.

We all need our space that’s completely reasonable
I get overwhelmed sometimes and I give myself a few mins a lot time and I’m pretty open about needing that to be a functioning human being for my family (as opposed to a rat)
