Burleigh

Hi my name is Chris and I am new here.

I would like to know if anyone else is challenged when they are bored do you get the feeling of anxiety.

If you do I would love to know how you manage it. Thankyou 🙏

Hi @Christine1962

Welcome to the forums, it's nice to have you hear. I can definitely relate. If I'm not fulfilled in life as in got lots on to think about, I do go down the path of anxiety. I must make sure I've got other stuff to think about. I work, study, have interests...they all seem to occupy my otherwise anxious mind. Do you have any interests or hobbies you could perhaps take up to keep yourself busier than what you are now?

Warmest wishes

Hanami

Welcome to the forum @Christine1962

Guessing we are almost same age ... idk??? .. lol

I loved what @hanami wrote .."If I'm not fulfilled in life as in got lots on to think about, I do go down the path of anxiety. "

Boredom can be similar ... then we can return to old ... idle hands sayings ... of yore ... not so much that I believe the devil gets involved ...

Maybe it is about being able to hold strongly to purpose ... at a certain age.... we do need also to find some good clean fun, to balance out the seriousness and responsibilities.

@Christine1962 Hi Christine, nice to see you here. At the moment I have been drawing to cope with anxiety. I find some simple sketches online and then I copy them down on paper. I'm thinking of painting the one I'm working on today. Other techniques I have is focusing on my breath and thinking 'in' with every in breath and 'out' with every out breath.

Anxiety is terrible. I hope you find some peaceful moments today.

Re: Burleigh

Great tips @Christheart , I draw for anxiety help too. And breathing. Both help a lot.
