Post hospital blues

Post hospital blues

I just checked out of a private mental health hospital and I'm finding I'm crying a lot and really lonely. I'm not working at the moment and my husband works all day. I also live rurally. I'm finding I'm just watching TV and crying. I did stop some medications suddenly about a week ago at the advice of my Dr so I guess I'm still adjusting. I just feel like I went from having so much support in hospital to being alone. I'm trying to reach out to services but haven't had much luck yet. I did call the sane hotline and that was helpful. Anyone else come out of hospital and feel a little lost?

I’m so sorry to hear you are feeling lost, do you have social support of friends of family you can reach out to aswell to help support you? Sometimes local services may have a longer wait time due to limited services but it’s also very important to express concern if you aren’t hearing back in a suitable timeframe. Do you have social hobbies or interest you could attend to help be around people with similar interest. I have found coming home from being in an atmosphere where it is very busy can make being at home feel a little more lonely but you are never alone and there is online services that may help aid in this feeling. I hope this message finds you well
