Without condoning stealing @LostAngel , I recognise you did it to help someone. I'm thinking of a childhood story I learnt from the Bible during Sunday school when bread was stolen from the altar because of hunger. God never punished them. God knew they were hungry. This brings comfort to my heart.

It does not mean you are a 'bad' or 'dishonest' person. You saw the need of one and went to help them.

Could it have been done in a better way? Probably yes, but as you said, "Lesson learnt".

You are not a bad person. You are not a hyperchondriac. You are doing your best to survive in a difficult world.
