Re: Anxiety help please

Ofcourse @Clickety Having support is so important!

I would like to offer support through sharing some resources:

How does a google search sound - for seeing GPS that take medicare? The next step could be getting a mental health plan.

These things aren't easy and I want to acknowledge that.

Sending you gentle vibes and a lot of light.

Re: Anxiety help please

Hi, welcome, @Clickety ...I agree with @fluffylight , I would see a different GP. There's a lot of help out there for anxiety, ranging from meds to counselling to meditation apps like 'Calm'. In this day and age there's no excuse for your GP not to help you.

An important forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.

Good luck...

@Clickety

Have a chat with your local pharmacy as well, they may be able to recommend a good doctor in your area based on the clients that they dispense for. Food can be a trigger for Anxiety as well, so make sure you are not going all out on sugar based food and try to stay on foods high on fibre. Its harder to get upset on a full stomach.

It also sounds like you having issues dealing with change, and your fight/flight/freeze is kicking in at work. Are you doing things outside of work to help you regulate your fight or flight emotions? Going on a bushwalk, having a run, taking cold showers? All of these things help to balance your brains ability to intrepid threats.
