fighting with my inner thoughts of sadness and trying to focus on strengths not so easy to do

fighting with my inner thoughts of sadness and trying to focus on strengths not so easy to do

in all honesty Im disapointed with self over study , thoughts of romantic relationship well sadness is the main issue currently as weve barely spoken in just a day or two ,its not his fault ,its not my fault either hes feeling unwell currently and so where kind of barely talking as he rests and recovers ,but needless to say my minds a bit on edge during this time as I miss our more frquent conversations and do understand why ,its just not easy though ,Ive been quite sad about this and I actually had an internal disagreemnt with myself about it in my head telling myself today that I need to be strong why cant I just be strong on focus on our upcoming happy future instead of being misrebale in the present and being sad ,why cant I just be strong? what makes it worse is hes not telling me exactly what is making him unwell ,Im just plain worried ,wish I wasnt feeling sad so much miss him ,miss our interaction, connection, his voice, but I have to be strong and patient its just hard ,and a little bit lonely and I have tried to express sadness but then worry that Im being selfish cause hes under the weather himself so why should I bring up my issues ,not getting much done in the way of things today, did eat dinner and lunch and breakfast ,did shower,I dont know maybe Im not strong willed or have enough will power , as for study Id rather accept defeat to change that outcome for some reason ,uh more music and movies I guess not much else to do for the night , maybe councilling phone call to say if needed,am safe just may need to talk out my worried thoughts or Journal thoughts out so Im not so in my head about things in general ,night everyone

Hi @LostAngel

Sounds like your mind is moving at 200kmh.

Slow the thoughts down maybe.

Distance mskes the heart grow finder.

Embrace the break.

Maybe he does not know why is ill. I usually dont. These days is it flu, covid whatever.

He sounds like he still wants you.

I hope you relax and sleep well

Hi @Former-Member was going to give an update I think your right, Hate how our minds can start being catastrophy type thinking, things are good with partner we sorted out things last night so its ok now, I had to really implement some positive thinking into my mind about just everything including study and as difficult as it was it wasnt alltogether impossible , A huge sigh of relief last night and then I started to think about study why not try to change a bit of my mindset about that ,so this morning have got up ,made myself a cup of tea and decided to try to complete as much unfinished study unit by unit ,slowly of course and only the ones that are not to strenuos to complete the stuff thats too difficult I ll try to give myself some slack, In the same token am also give my Partner some slack aswell ,less preasure all round then ,getting a bit better thinking than yesterday ,will just do and try what I can where I can and also give the one I love some room to breathe too phew slowly wins the race , also will look at prehaps gettting my medication script to slow down the overthinking /negative thinking

Hi @LostAngel

Such an insightful reply.

The other day l could vision you going down the roller coaster ride we share so fast. I now feel you are past the bottom and going up again.

As you say with study. Bit by bit.

I agree, no one wants to be smothered. Not us. And not them. We need space.

The slow turtle wins the race.

Us humans worry and l think they say 90% never happen and the 10% that does we cope with.

As you say, mindfulness.

Focus on it.

Enjoy the journey up the rollercoaster and platuea somewhere. Rest. Enjoy the moment

Awesome reply from you.

The change is incredible.

Welcome to the world of patience
