New psychiatrist

I saw my new psychiatrist today. My last one was a bit shit so I was looking for a new one. Her waiting list was pretty long but her CV is really good so I was happy to wait.

What a revelation! She has this demeanour that just says she is in complete control while having such a warm personality. But at the same time she would totally take control if needed. I left with this impression if I had a major episode she'd know exactly what to do. Her ability to listen compared to the last one was so good as well. Definitely a partnership approach rather than dictation.

I'm so glad I left the last one.

I'm seeing a new psychologist in 3 weeks time after 5 yrs with my old therapist.
Yesterday was my lady session with him and I didn't cope having to call CAT team.
Hoping this new psychologist is good.

Thats great to hear. I have to change psychiatrist in December due to the fact he is moving interstate. So in the mean time he is going to see me weekly and do a couple of referrals to see if i can find a match. Its so frustrating as i only have really recently started to trust him and open up more. Its taken me three years to get to this point. Now to start all over again.
