It has been down for awhile now.

I know that it sucks. I don't like the other chat sites so wish it was up and running too.

Yeah I noticed that it was chat unavailable for a while.

It does suck, its not so bad now but I didnt like talking on the phone, but now I know I can request a female on the phone its not so bad. I have to hide outside to make the call as its about the only private place I have to call, another reason I liked chat, you can chat its private and I can be warm too

I totally agree with you @ClockFace

I worry someone will walk in on me whilst I am on the phone. I also struggle opening up on the phone.

The chat is certainly more private and I can do it around others with still being private.

Oh, I was wondering this. I hate talking on the phone as I feel very self conscious. It's very emotional and chat seems more private and more accessible. No one can overhear me. I'm often trying to hide my mental struggles from my child.

I thought maybe it had been replaced with just the text message, which costs more.

Yes I think life line chat is not working as well..
