Hospital Records
I got a copy of my hospital records under Freedom of Information. It was really upsetting to read what they wrote about me. I want to leave the state.

I'm so sorry to hear you have had to read these records @Former-Member . You are not alone. Unfortunately, much of these are probably written from a real deficit point of view and at a time one is most vulnerable. Would you agree?

Hmm think it would be an interesting read if I got my hands on my records from 15yrs ago
I think it’s even interesting to read discharge summaries and to hear what people like police put in the scheduled form. There have been many occasions where my recollection of events have been very different.

I got my records from FOI and was really stunned. I thought: "this is not me" I was warned by my psychiatric nurse counsellor who told me many people get hurt by what they read and to just pay no mind to it. Sure enough the records I read were not a true representation of me. Don't let it get to you its just a bundle of perceptions from people who don't know you @Former-Member
