delusions

delusions

a little while back i had what i think was a delusion which sprung out of nowhere and involved demons and horrific things. it seemed so real that i am still confused as whether it was a series of thoughts or infact delusion. I was wondering what others experienced with delusions.

Re: delusions

Dunno if I have any great insight @Bunniekins

But I know that I have ongoing delusions/intrusive thoughts that I just have to make sure I don't 'hook into'...

But as for specific instances, it's been a long time since I've experienced what you describe. Have you discussed it with any professionals/counsellors etc?

Re: delusions

@StuF i have spoken with my mental health nurse and she says it sounds like a intrusive thought or a delusion. will talk more about it next thursday when we meet up. it was so real as the demons were in human form and so believable but yes will try not to hook into it as what you say is true.

Re: delusions

@Bunniekins i have had experiences like that it is very scary when it is happening and confusing afterwards. personally i have a lot of trouble discerning wether or not it was a delusion or something that really happened but anyway i find the only thing i can really do for them is ignore them and wait until they go away or if they dont ignoring them is still often best but it is exhausting idk i am not very good at dealing with them. sorry you are going through this.
