Ignoring myself to get through the day

Ignoring myself to get through the day

I'm trying really hard to ignore what's going on in my head. I'm scared, again, and I know there is no help. I've reached out before and nobody cared.

Last year I went to the hospital and told them my intentions to hurt myself. They didn't listen, I jumped off the hospital and shattered my leg.

And that wasn't my first time.

I used to self harm when I was a teenager, but I seemed to grow out of it when I moved out of home. Since then it's like it builds up inside me until I explode. My injuries are extensive.

I know the warning signs now, I know when I'm heading down that horrible path.

Every time I've cried out for help.

Every time they've turned me away, scorning me for wasting their time.

I go home, broken and alone and surrender to whatever horror I have planned for myself.

I've tried calling the help lines, but what I have to say triggers a warning that involves the police or ambulance. They take me to the hospital, that kicks me out. They flat out refuse to treat me.

It's so sudden too! I've been fine the last few days, then bamm! It off nowhere I'm crying and hating myself again. My brain hurts so much and I can't even tell anyone, cause there is noone. They'll just reject me again and I can't take it. I can't.

Will this ever end? I feel like I've already destroyed my life already. I don't know I'll ever be ok. I feel so alone. I just want to feel safe.

I don't know what to do or where to turn.

Hence, I wrote on this forum. I don't want to feel this alone.

Hi and welcome, @Zeldar

I'm sorry to hear about your mental distress and loneliness 😞

Do you have any professional support? Like a counsellor, meds, psychologist or psychiatrist?

A handy forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.

I hope you find the forums supportive...

Re: Ignoring myself to get through the day

Hi Zeldar

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Not being listened to at the hospital must have been an awful experience. Do you have some other supports in place such as a psychologist, counsellor or GP? I hope to hear back from you soon and hope that you're ok. We really want to support you here and help you to get the right care.

Warmest wishes

Hanami

@Zeldar

I know it is really hard, but remember you had some good days, the difficult feelings don’t last forever.

Hi @Zeldar

That sounds awful, you go for help and they ignore you. I have suffered the same thing, but I didn't hurt myself. And I have heard of another patient experienced the same thing. To feel this bad there must be lots of difficult and confusing emotions and thoughts inside, but it can be really hard to identify them. I'm not sure how old you are or if you are working but I found taking a trip, maybe an hour or 2, lets my mind unwind and try to identify what's making me so upset. For me it was driving my car, but it also works for a bus trip or a train trip. I took many trips as I had many issues to identify. Getting medication will basically calm you down also if this is an option, but you will still have to try and identify what is making you upset before you can try and deal with it all. Early on is the hardest, if you can start the process it should get gradually easier as you learn to work with yourself and not be afraid of your thoughts. As mentioned if you are critical call a support service or go to the hospital.

There is help here @Zeldar , good on you for reaching out again, I know it's hard when you have been burned before. I think you will find some great support here on the same forums, I have, it's been really great. Keep reaching out! And keep on keeping on. You're amazing for getting through what you're getting through right now. @Zeldar

Environmental electricity from magnetic pole variances and also frequencies [manmade and natural] go against our head.

It is inherently against us however we shape these things as the sub, the con and the suss.

There is nothing wrong with you.

Over the ages they have called these things the subconscious.

It's always going to be crap however we shape it as it is.

Learn to hate the subcon'suss'.

Pierce the shadow.

It's not you, even though you shape them.

It's okay mate, we all have to deal with this.

But it's good that you are noticing this shadow more.

Better to pierce it.

Re: Ignoring myself to get through the day

Hi @Zeldar

I’m sorry you’re in so much distress at the moment. It’s an awful feeling and I can’t imagine how much worse it feels having reached out and been rejected.

What helped last time after you broke your leg? Can you get in touch with a crisis support line and get them to call the hospital for you? That really helped me in a similar situation, in fact, even just having the crisis line tell me to go to the hospital was helpful because it gave me the confidence to try. Unfortunately some staff at hospitals aren’t as good as others with respect to mental health. Fortunately they rotate a lot and you’ll probably see someone else if you go back.

I’d recommend calling either Lifeline or the Suicide Callback Service and seeing if they can help you find a way to get the help that you need and deserve (because I am fully convinced that you deserve to be listened to and protected).
