Something’s not right

Spiralling

Spiralling

In a position where I tell people what they want to hear, but deep down I'm spiralling fast. This place in my head isn't a good place to be and I can only numb it so much. Being put on a doctor shopping register is crap, but they can't stop you from buying OTC...

Sorry to hear that @Loz_3647 - sounds so tough at the moment.

Hope you find a space to do what's right for you.

Re: Spiralling

Hey @Loz_3647 . Homeostasis. That's the thing I learned about that can help with spiraling.

Thing about having a brain is the dopamine thresholds get all mucked about. Which is less homeo and less stasis.

So one way or another, we get a lot out of resetting the system. It's what so much of self-care is trying to achieve. Doesn't really matter how you get there. Just need a static baseline.

Nothing is good and nothing is bad. We attribute value. And, deciding what's good and bad all the time is haaaaaaaard work (and frankly not always necessary).

That was my take on homeostasis. It's a weird take. But, that makes sense, for I am a weirdo.
