Hey @Sas1! Welcome to the Forums, I'm glad you have found us!
Receiving a new diagnosis can really bring about a range of emotions. It can be great in some regards - finally having a name for what you are going for, being able to learn more about what exactly it is that is happening, and helping you connect with others in the same boat.
On the other hand, it can be pretty scary too. We can find ourselves associating certain diagnoses with poor outcomes, or fearing what others may think.
Many of us here - myself included - have certainly been in that position of feeling stuck, lost, and hopeless after a diagnosis.
Take extra special care of yourself during this time. It is all just one step at a time - we can only do our best (and what our 'best' is can vary greatly day-to-day).
I hope this can be a safe and supportive community for you 💛

Thank you @Peregrinefalcon . I am really struggling right now. Day to day is so hard. I find myself just crying constantly. I wonder what the point is. I am glad to have found this forum though. It makes me feel less alone. I have a wonderful partner who is so supportive but still feel so alone and lost.

I'm glad you have some good supports @Sas1
There is nothing wrong with having a day of crying, have definitely been there before. Do whatever it is you need to do to get through the day, one hour at a time 💛

The crying seems to be every day. Some days is a struggle to even get up. My work is very stressful too, with little to no support. Really want to leave there but so confused with my options. Really feel helpless right now. Your kindness is very much appreciated @Peregrinefalcon

Hi @Sas1 I don't have much experience of an adjustment disorder but plenty of PTSD. It is so hard to deal with and takes a lot of support to get through. We have so many here that are too dealing with PTSD and I hope you find this community as supportive as I do. Welcome to the forum and welcome to the community 😁

Hey @Zoe7 . Thanks so much for your message. Yeah it is quite scary trying to get my head around it all. Such an emotional rollercoaster. Glad to have found this space.

It is a great space to connect with others and get a little extra support as you work through things @Sas1 PTSD in particular is hard to get your head around as there is no one way to deal with it and you often do not know when it will hit. I still have my moments as you cannot always avoid triggers ...but knowing what they and having things in place for myself when confronted with them has helped immensely. For me it can be something as simple as leaving a room or finding a space for myself until the feelings pass. I also have things around my house that I can focus on, and of course my fur babies are super important. Finding those things you can do for yourself in those times is super important - the feelings will still be there but how we deal with them can help them to lessen over time. I find it is also important to 'let them' happen as trying to push them down has historically made them worse.
