Relationships with current affairs and politics.

Relationships with current affairs and politics.

I have had one stress last night, which thankfully DID NOT cause me to do anything stupid. But a lot of stress right before I had to get to sleep. I have a crush on this guy who's (I call him R) beliefs are based on politics and current affairs are based on his own evidence, which he read online and isn't mainstream media. he is pretty opinionated and a little bit stubborn. Like very one else I am aware of what it going on in Ukraine. I never believed that war was never an answer. yet Putin uses his powers for all the wrong reasons. According to what R reads, whatever source he uses he believes that there are a lot of Nazis in the Ukraine. But what about the innocent people over there? Pregnant women, The elderly...what did they do wrong?
On the call I had with R I stressed my believes to him and about how this was happening and he kept on putting on the spot asking me "Under what evidence" and then he rudely hung up on me. Then messages me saying that I was bullying him. I stood up for myself and ended up saying that he did not get to make me guilty, that I didn't do anything wrong and said the conversation was over. I then muted his chat until I was ready to go back to it just to make him sweat and look after myself.
I was indenting to go down to spend time with this man. The man I truly like. But when it comes to politics and current affairs we are just too different and it might drive a huge rift into a future relationship in the future and I question if I can put up with that.

@TheJuZShoW that's a tough one. Only you can make the decision about the relationship. Can you agree to disagree on certain subjects and Put them off limits in your conversations? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

@Scream58 Yeah, I have decided to mute the notifications on the app we talk on for now. It was causing me too much stress. I can't imagine what it would be like if I went on a 7 hour bus ride to meet him and hang out for a few days. Sounds like it could be the national lampoon's nightmare vacation lol

@TheJuZShoW it's kind of sounding like you've already made the decision. Taking a step back (muting the conversation) sounds like a smart move. Take time to breathe and assess the situation.

@TheJuZShoW just tell him that the leader of the Ukraine is Jewish (which is a fact) and to shut up and become more educated. Sorry but ignorant people get me so furious
