Hello to everyone on the forums!

Our upcoming Online Peer Group will be held on Thursday the 10^th of February 2022 at 7:00 – 8:30PM (AEDT)! We will be exploring the concept of stigma.

Stigma is often thought as coming from others – but it can also come from within. We will be exploring what stigma means to us, how it impacts our lives, and how we can better acknowledge and combat when stigma is affecting us.

We are always on the lookout for new ideas, so if you would like to submit a topic or question, click here. We also release the transcripts for each group here in case anyone can’t make it.

Peer Group Chats are hosted outside of the forums, using a platform called Chatwee. To join an Online Peer Group, you will need to register for an account with Chatwee. On the night, follow this link and log in to your Chatwee account before the group starts. Please see this FAQ if you have any questions!

Time Zones:

This Online Peer Group will be held at 7pm Eastern Daylight Savings time. Here is some information to make it easier to understand when to log on if you are in a different part of Australia:

NSW, Vic, ACT & Tasmania- 7pm 

Queensland- 6pm 

Northern Territory- 5:30pm 

South Australia- 6:30pm 

Western Australia- 4pm

Just wanted to remind y'all that the Online Peer Group Chat on Stigma is happening tonight from 7pm AEDT (alternate times across Australia in the graphic and listed below).

Western Australia: 4pm

Northern Territory: 5:30pm

South Australia:6:30pm
Queensland: 6pm
NSW, Victoria, Tasmania & ACT: 7pm

What to Expect:

discussion of stigma, what it is and what it can look like in our lives
exploration of externalised and internalised stigma as well as it's impacts
sharing ideas of how we can better recognise and challenge stigma as it arises
