Re: Marriage breakdown
Hi @LRS84
Having a marraige end and having to deal with a custody battle for your son sounds two of the most stressful things to deal with.
It's not uncommon for people to think about suicide when a relationships. The pain can cut so deep, it's hard to imagine that it will get better. There is lot of raw and heavy emotions that come along with ending a relationship. This can be even more complicated when your ex is behaving in a cruel way towards you.
It probably doesn't mean anything, but it can and will get better. I know that @Former-Member and @Appleblossom have ended marraiges. Perhaps they can offer some advice here.
It sounds like this is so painful that it's getting the point that you've thought about suicide. I'm glad that you are a fighting for your son.I'm sorry that you're going through this. Do you have support - friends, family or a counsellor?

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I separated and it's been so hard. People tell me I will get used to the nights they're away but like you it's killing me it's so hard. Do you have as Lawyer or seen legal aid? Make sure you get proper advice and don't sign anything unless you're sure. The courts are not easy to navigate and a re completely inhumane
He re listening if you want to share more

Re: Marriage breakdown
Hallo @LRS84
Separation and divorce were very difficult for me too. Our children mean everything to us.
Toddlers also take a lot of energy and time, so try and use the access with father as respite for YOU. I know it is difficult and it took me while to be able to even think that way, but it is the best way to look after you to look after your boy. When I could start to clean like fury with the music blaring and also know I was giving my son a pleasant home ... it helped .. it helps in lots of ways to be active and proactive.
Take care .. He needs YOU.
