Sydney lockdown
Hi everyone,
I have a long history of depressive episodes. I have been alone locked down in my house for 43 days. I have held up better than most, I guess, as I was proactive in setting up a routine, reaching out to friends, started behavioral activation chart, medication reminders, daily meditation and regular exercise schedule in my own "keep sane" mission. I attended all my appointments with my mental health team. But, now with Covid cases in Sydney still rising and utter frustration with the state government and talk of going another 40 days at least- depression is here. I'm bedridden today. My psychiatrist has increased my antidepressants but I'm waiting for the script to be posted out to me, then I'll have to send off for that as my local pharmacy has had exposures so I've been getting everything delivered. I had to call in sick to work today. I work from home but it's people work and I can't do people work today.
I always feel racked with guilt when I take a mental health Day but I can feel that familiar 'body made of stone' feeling. I'm immobile.
Please don't give advice, I think from above you can see I've done all the things. It's just the situation is unrelenting and I'm tired. I just hope you can listen today. Thank you.
