Re: Feeling the lowest of lows.

Wow @john66, you have been through so much! It seems really unfair that your health, home, relationship and work have all been impacted at a similar time. I can appreciate that you are feeling demoralised!

I really admire that you are working to break the cycle of depression, good on you. Have you found anything that is helping so far?

I'm also wondering if you have any supports in your life, either personal or professional, who are helping you through this period?

I'm glad you reached out for some support on the Forums

Take care,

Shimmer

Re: Feeling the lowest of lows.

Lifeis suffering, were all just walking each other home. Not alone. Today is a bad day here, hoping tomorrow will be better & I can create a good energising memory.

Re: Feeling the lowest of lows.

I am new to these forums so forgive me if I get this wrong.

I have been feeling so low for a few months but I seem to be falling into a deeper depression. I had to leave my friends behind to move for my partners work reasons to a place where I know no-one and it has been hard to meet people and to find work. I try to talk to my partner but he just keeps saying I need to find work.

I have met one lady but she is not really close by and we only catch up once every couple of months. It is nice but not someone I could confide my thoughts to. I just feel very lost at the moment and so lonely, I just keep crying. I also recently lost a very dear grandparent.

I keep trying to go out and talk to people but it is difficult to know where to start. I try taking short breaks and we had a weeks holiday but we just come back to the same problems. I just felt I needed to express my thoughts and maybe hear if anyone has gone through the same things. I feel so frustrated as I am usually a very capable person, but so many changes seem to have got to me.

Re: Feeling the lowest of lows.

I have. Been suffering from depression for a long time and have been and am still using prescribed anti depressants. I have 4 teenagers living in my home aged 14, 16, 18 and 19. I am retired from employment and am very lonely most of the time but that is by choice as I find it very hard to go out and amongst people. This is so unlike me as I was always the one that everyone came to and the one who did everything for everyone. I think this change happened when my husband passed away. I don't even know why I am writing this but today has been a hard one and I saw the ad for this site on tv tonight. So here I am with tears pouring down my face and not really knowing if this is the right thing to do. I guess time will tell, but I do know I am sick of feeling like this.

Hello @Krystal @Vonnie @Nana. Welcome. Nice to meet you all and I hope that you find it helpful chatting on here. I too was feeling very alone and heard about this forum on TV and joined approx a couple of months ago. I find it very helpful chatting to various people on here.

Everyone seems to be very understanding. It's nice to have someone to chat to who understands.

Hi @Former-Member I hope you get a really good sleep tonight and wake up feeling better. Awful having bad days like you are having. I hope that you are ok.

Re: Feeling the lowest of lows.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be able to express my feelings. I too saw the ad on TV and I knew I just needed to say how I felt out loud. Thank you for allowing me to do this.

Some days are good and some not so good. I really miss my friends and family, and my husband has been working out of town a bit lately and that is when I feel loneliest. It's hard to explain but I just need to feel wanted and useful.

I know it will probably pass but I have not felt like this for many years and I don't want to go back to that horrible feeling again.
