Hi hun, was just wondering about you. I hope that you are finding your way around the forums ok. How did the letter go with your partner? Did you give it to him to read when he got home from work? Thinking of you xxx
Hi @Oaktree Yes I gave it to him, he appreciated it. He has been very reassuring and supportive today so that is a huge help. He also isn't afraid to pull me up when I'm being irrational (which is quite often) and I am making a point of letting him know how much I appreciate him and everything he does for us. He's agreed to go to couples counselling with me and to get me in to see a specialist for weekly DBT sessions. Finally found somewhere that actually does it near me, over an hours drive but worth it.

Oh wow all of that is amazing and so positive. I am really glad. It is hard to be pulled up for being irrational because in our unwell minds everything makes perfect sense to us. Just try not to get mad at him when that happens. Just remember he loves you and wants the best for you.

Wow an hour drive for DBT is quite a committment but yes it will be worth it.
