Hmmm. I'm thinking a lot of things. The thing thats rising to the top (perhaps I'm off the mark but anyway) protein. Protein? Yes probably other things but also protein. Protein is good for making brain big 'n' stuff to fit the more things in the brain. Also stabilises metabolism and lets you live in your body a bit more. Also, sweet sweet androgens.

Thanks for replying @wellwellwellnez, I'm not sure protein will help though. I've only got 1 support person, no professional supports and rural Drs that know nothing about mental health except the really strong meds that I refuse to take.

My mental state is unstable and honestly the worst is my partner is at work and son is at school leaving me alone pretty much all day in a town where I basically have no friends

You know, I've actually been having similar problems. I've made some progress with who I've been talking to but I'm not sure if they are going to give me what I'm trying to get. I feel under-researched. And, I've been using video counselling anyway. Since I'm already using the internet, I'm thinking of going national. Find someone with some speciality in "me stuff". Not sure if that's yours or my solution, but I can, to a degree, relate.

I thought the protein thing would be worth a try. Either, way, hardly a magic wand solution.

Re: Heading for a breakdown

Have you heard of the podcast Mate helping Mate by John Harper? He was a farmer having a rough trot with some issues and he talks about how he found support for his issues in a rural setting.

What is it that keeps crawling on that hamster wheel in your head and having a run? Is it something you can share with us to get an understanding of what's making you feel unstable and what does unstable mean to you? If you become unstable, what might you do?

Hi @Former-Member i do have some friends but i have been on medication since the age of 20. My short term memory is very poor, and i have a whole list of side effects including being very groggy all the time, thinking really slowly etc etc. i could go on but i wont - i just wish the doctors wouldnt give us all tranquilisers to fix our brains which are perfectly fine..the only thing that went wrong with me was my brain went too quick for my body basically .. so yeah
